2pac lives on – as a hologram anyway

Check out the awesome video that has been doing the rounds online from Coachella festival.

It features a hologram of 2pac performing live alongside Snoop (who is real life)

2pac or Tupac Shakur was shot 7 times in September 1996, and after 7 days in hospital he died on Friday 13th September at 4.03pm. (Notice the use of 7 here allot?)

2pac was signed to Deathrow records and part of the East Coast West Coast violence that plagued hip hop in the mid 90’s.

Could this be the future of live concerts? We’ve already seen a Frank Sinatra show using holograms so this could be the future.
I for one would love to see this as I was unfortunate to have never seen 2pac live.

Who could be next? Elvis?

Las Vegas New Years Eve 2011-2012

Its official, I’m off to Las Vegas for New Year’s eve.

With Vegas being my (self-proclaimed) second home, it’s going to be great to see in the New Year on Las Vegas Blvd.

This will be my 4th time in Vegas and with one of my best friends stag party planned for Vegas next year, it won’t be the last.

I’m going with the wife so at least it won’t be a repeat of my stag party from March. (Then again we do like to party)

I will be blogging and documenting the experience for you all, as well as checking out some great cigar bars and nightclubs around the area. (I may have to create a separate section on this site for Vegas)

While I’m there I’m especially looking forward to visiting Casa Fuente and Rhum bar. On my last 2 trips to Las Vegas I’ve been meaning to visit and test out the cigars and cocktails, so will be looking forward to sitting back and relaxing and reviewing the venues.

If anyone can think of places I need to visit, please let me know as I want to visit as many places as possible.

Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson & Cigars

Thought I’d kick off Monday with a little trivia about celebrities and cigars.

According to reports, 50 cent is partial to Montecristo cigars (smart man)

Although there is no definite source, in 2007 it was reported that Curtis ’50 cent’ Jackson requested Cuban cigars on his rider when performing.

There was some controversy at the time as U.S. law bans citizens from buying or importing Cuban cigars and violations of the Cuban Assets Control Regulations can carry jail terms and hefty fines.

However, prosecutions for such cigar crimes are rare, so 50 went unaffected. Plus there is nothing like smoking a Montecristo in a place that you shouldn’t. (says the man that smoked a Montecristo Edmundo on the roof of Caesar’s Palace at Pure Nightclub)
