We loved seeing the below picture which shows Beyonce puffing away on a cigar. No doubt Jay-Z was probably thinking “don’t make it wet”
Although judging by the image, she looks like she knows what she is doing.

Rappers (and cigar smokers) Jay-Z and Kanye West have unveiled their latest video for the track n***a’s in Paris in London by projecting the video onto Shoreditch train station (classy location I know)

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Carter on the birth of their new daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
Beyoncé gave birth at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York on Saturday 7th January.
Most dads spend the first few days not leaving their new child’s side, however Jay-Z found time to record a new track to celebrate the birth of his daughter called ‘Glory’
Jay-Z posted the song to his website Life + Times on Monday (January 9). The track features audio from Blue Ivy that was recorded shortly after her birth and tells the story of her conception, suggesting that Beyoncé suffered a miscarriage prior to conceiving Blue Ivy.
The baby’s cries can be heard at the end of the track.
It was rumoured that they hired out the whole floor of the hospital for the birth. I guess he must have taken a mini recording studio with him?
Wonder what cigar he smoked to celebrate??
I got sent an article today about the Shawn Carter Foundation and how Jay-Z held a VIP event in New York in September.
What stood out was that it looked like he was smoking a Cuban Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona, something I like to call a ‘perfect cigar’

This morning I’ve come across a great set of interviews by music mogul Steve Stoute.
Steve has worked with some of the biggest artists in the world, as well owning Zino Platinum cigars, proving that cigars and urban music is a perfect match together.
While he’s not a marketing guru, he has also launched a series of web interviews with some of the biggest names in Hip Hop to talk about how the genre has transcended across all genres, the history of Hip Hop, as well as finding out about the artists.
In the series he catches up with the likes of Jay-Z (big cigar Aficionado) Pharrell Williams and Jimmy Iovine.
The videos are inspiring for everyone including myself. If I can be honest it inspires me more to develop Cut the Cap. It brings me back to my quote “just because I wear Nike Air, don’t think I don’t know what a Robusto is.”

My favourite line has to be:

Jay-Z has topped Forbes magazine hip hop rich list after earning $37million in the last year.
Diddy finished in second place with $35million, while Kanye West charted at No.3 with $16million.
Lil Wayne and Birdman were in joint fourth place after making $15million, while Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Eminem were tied at No.5 with $14million.
